Green Practices :

D.K. Government college has a sprawling campus of 25 acres with idyllic surroundings. Plants are treated as the lungs of an institute to supply fresh air, shade and to give cooling effect. If we protect trees, they will protect us. Every year ‘Vanamahotsav’ event is celebrated. On 14-2- 2021 this event was wonderfully celebrated. There is a constant watch on the up keeping of plant beds, big trees and other types of greenery. For the protection of flora of the college, the entry of automobiles into the campus is strictly prohibited. The day- watchman keeps on guard and restricts the entry of automobiles into the campus. Some of the staff members take special interest in the use of battery-powered vehicles. Some of the students use bicycles and they are kept in the vehicle shed meant for that purpose. Both these acts protect the environment and keep the air fresh and clean
