Water resource is an important requirement in any institute. Since water maintains our life, it is viewed as an essential need. The college with 1200 students, fifty per cent of them being hostelers, gives top most priority to water consumption and conservation. It has been striving hard to maintain pure water supply to all the students and staff by establishing R.O plant and tap system. The students have pure water source at their disposal. No drop is wasted anywhere. There is a constant check on the leakages and tap maintenance. The storage tanks are kept clean and sanitized from time to time, and always a team of lecturers will supervise these water bodies. Besides having bore wells in the campus, there is also a rain water harvesting pit, dug at low lying area to collect rain water falling from the roof. The water gets percolated immediately into the soil during the rainy season and consequently the ground water levels rise unimaginably. Moreover, at other places, this rain water is properly channelized to quench the thirst of saplings and plants in the college gardens. The waterman takes care of this and plant beds are sprinkled constantly with water. The bore well in the campus supplies ground water which is used for washing, cooking and washroom purposes. The municipal connection is also there to fill the water tank in the college campus. The waste water released from the labs and staff rooms is diverted to the drains
