    Urdu : Profile

    NELLORE, The land Auliyas, Sufis, Poets and Writers, Urdu is used as communication, spoken and literary language among the people. Many Urdu religious and literary books are written and published by the eminent personalities from several places of the district like Udaigiri, Atmakur,  Ananthasagaram, Rahamatabad,Kasumur,Kavaliand Guduretc,. Urdu as a subject is taught in elementary & high school level , teacher training educational institutes and collegiate level also,whichis offered by government and local private aided educational institutes.

    D.K. Government Degree(A) college for women offered Urdu courses in junior and degree college level since last four (4) decades. Janab syed Gouse sahab(Kadapa),Janab Fayaq sahab(Nellore) and Janab Azmatullah sahab(Chittore) rendered their services as lecturers in this college. From January’2013 ,Dr. Mohd. Mahboob has been appointed as Degree lecturer by APPSC and continuing the service till date.

    Bachelor in Science  (IIndLanguage)
    The college offered Urdu as Second language for various streams of the Undergraduate  courses like B.A , B.COM, B.Sc, etc. Its aim is to teach and fulfil the needs of the Urdu language and literature aspects for the aspirants of higher studies and Research activities, and to encourage women literacy to get higher studies ,professional jobs and social status.
